The final meetings of the steering committees within the framework of the Ukraine-Poland-Belarus 2014-2020 cross-border cooperation program on the projects “Improvement of the surveillance system at the Ukrainian-Polish border (Central Sector)” PLBU.04.02.00-EN -0239 / 17-00 and “Improvement of the surveillance system on the Ukrainian-Polish border (Southern sector)” PLBU.04.02.00-UA-0205 / 17-00 took place in Lviv from November 3 to 4. The Representatives of the Administration of the State of Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the Western Regional Directorate, the Lviv Border Guard Detachment and the Nadbuzhany and Beshchadskyi Divisions of the Border Guard of the Republic of Poland took part in the meetings.

During the meeting, the Ukrainian and Polish sides discussed the results of project implementation, information and final reporting issues. Among other things, the parties agreed on the development of cooperation within the next stage of the programming period for 2021-2027.

In total, within the framework of projects with the support of the European Union, 6 mobile TV complexes, 16 Reno Duster patrol cars, 115 Motorolla portable radio stations, 18 car and 4 stationary radio stations were purchased for the Lviv Border Guard Detachment.

All equipment and machinery is used to protect the Ukrainian-Polish border and is already yielding results. The participants of the meeting also visited the Rava-Ruska border guard division, where they were clearly shown the procedure for using the purchased equipment and machinery in the protection of the state border.

In conclusion, the partners noted that joint projects are extremely effective for both parties.
